It is only since 1991 that the beautiful Manasulu area is opened for trekking. This gives this trek a pure and undiscovered feeling unlike many other places. With an impressive view of Mt. Manasulu (8163m.) and a blend of Hindu- and Tibetan Buddhist-style villages, this trek is amazing both naturally and culturally. You start the trek from Gorkha, the homeland of Prithvi Narayan Shah, a hero of modern Nepal. He is seen as the man who unified a scattered country into what is now one Nepal. Before the start of the trek, you visit the ancient Palace of Prithvi Narayan Shah; Gorkha Durbar. During trekking we reach a snow covered Larkya La (5215m.) which is the highest point of this trek. The view of the magnificent neighbouring peaks like Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the huge Annapurna II makes this place one to never forget. After the pass, we touch down the great Annapurna trail to end the trek.
